Why Families Choose In-Home Therapy

Children learn best when they feel safe and comfortable. For many families, home or community settings offer an ideal place for skill development.
Kids thrive in familiar settings, services become more consistent, and families stay more engaged.

Key Benefits

  • Comfort and familiarity that help children feel secure
  • Real world learning in everyday places
  • Fewer cancellations and more consistent progress
  • Flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends
  • Stronger caregiver involvement and coaching
  • Ability to meet families facing transportation or attendance barriers
  • Better use of authorized hours, especially as payers move toward “use it or lose it” models

In-home and in-community care can be just as effective as clinic care and often more fun. Every setting becomes a learning opportunity.

What is In-Home Therapy?

In-home therapy is delivered by a trained Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician under guidance from a BCBA. Sessions may include communication practice, behavior support, play based learning, daily routines, and caregiver coaching.

Criteria for In-Home Care

  • BCBA must confirm therapy can be safely and effectively delivered in the home
  • An adult over age 18 must be present
  • A home assessment is completed prior to starting services
  • Home expectations checklist is reviewed with the family

Our home assessments help identify any safety concerns and give parents a clear understanding of what to expect. If adjustments are needed, we guide families through the process.

Flexible Scheduling for Convenience

In-home and in-community services provide greater scheduling flexibility, especially for families managing busy routines, school attendance, or transportation challenges.

  • Personalized care plans designed to fit your family’s schedule
  • Make-up sessions can be provided in-home when in-clinic availability is limited
  • Weekend hours support learners who attend school
  • Evening appointments are ideal for families with midweek commitments such as church or extracurricular activities

Our goal is to make high-quality ABA and behavioral support accessible, convenient, and seamless for your family.
