Biography:
Ofelia has worked in the field of developmental and intellectual disabilities for over 20 years. For the last 12 years, Ofelia has specialized in children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has supported children and adults in developing new skills and decreasing challenging behaviour that prevents them from being independent and leading a rewarding life. Ofelia's goals are to assist parents in their journey of raising an exceptional child in a challenging, changing, and evolving world. Following the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis, Ofelia strives to create effective and successful programs and interventions for young children with Autism.

Ofelia has participated and delivered several presentations at the conferences of Applied Behavior Analysis International.

Ofelia has also experience teaching students seeking their professional credentials to teach within the education system. She is in the completion stages of her PhD in Education at Simon Fraser University in Canada.
